ImPASTA: Fake Noodles, Great Taste
PASTA PASTA PASTA! I'm part Italian and I love my noodles! The only thing is pasta has a lot of carbohydrates and eating too much can take a toll on your health. The best way to approach eating pasta is having it in moderation. For someone who tries to stay lean year round I do not eat a lot of pasta, but I do crave the texture of a noodle sometimes. I thought I would share some healthy low carb alternatives that I enjoy!
-Zucchini/Yellow Squash noodles- I take whole zucchinis and yellow squashes and run it through a spiralizer to turn it into a noodle!
-Spaghetti Squash- I just boil the whole squash cut it in half and use a fork to rake the squash noodles out.
-Shirataki Noodles- These are noodles made of the Japanese Konjac yam and are easy to buy at your local health foods store like a Whole Foods or Sprouts.
