5 Reasons Why You Should Be Foam Rolling

Foam Rolling is a great way to help release some muscle tension. Many people do not incorporate foam rolling along with a stretching routine before and after their workouts, and my question is WHY NOT? There are many benefits from foam rolling. Essentially foam rolling helps relieve tension in the muscle's fascia (myofascial release). The fascia covers the muscle and when tension is too tight this may inhibit your range in motion and cause discomfort. Today I am going to give you 5 reasons why you should be foam rolling:

1. Foam Rolling can help alleviate muscle soreness. This happens by again releasing that tension in the fascia.

2. When performing proper foam rolling techniques you can help improve your flexibility and range of motion.

3. Foam rolling allows for better blood circulation and helps reduce inflammation.

4. It is a great stress relief since foam rolling has benefits of a massage. Ahhh yes, nice and relaxed!

5. Foam Rollers are inexpensive and can help prevent injury.

These are my top reasons of why I incorporate foam rolling into my daily fitness routines. Hope this helps you understand why I think the foam roller is a great invention to help improve your fitness. Now let's get to foam rolling!
