Recipe: Quick Steak Stir fry

Another recipe in the books! A huge thank you to everyone who has tried my pineapple balsamic glazed salmon, and if you haven't yet go read my recipe! In today's blog I will tell you how I make a quick and easy steak stir fry!

Ingredients:

-Round Steak (Leanest cut of steak)

-Steak Seasoning (optional)

-Stir Fry Vegetable Mix (I usually by the frozen stir fry veggies in the microwaveable steamer bags)

-Teriyaki sauce or Braggs Liquid Aminos (you choose whichever type of sauce you prefer. I bought a pineapple teriyaki sauce.)

-Brown Rice or Basmati Rice (your choice of what type of rice you want to use, I usually buy the microwaveable 90 second rice)

Steps:

1. Get a nice big saute pan to cook the steak in,

2. Season the steak how you would like I use a dash of Steak seasoning (optional)

3. Cook the steak how you would like I use a nice medium heat on the stove, and basically cook the steak to a medium rare. I usually prefer my steaks medium, however I will be throwing in the steak again with the veggies so that's why I cooked it to medium rare. Plus since round steak is very lean, I try to not over cook it otherwise it will become very chewy,

4. While the steak is cooking, throw the frozen stir fry veggies in the microwave to cook them.

5. Once steak is cooked to your liking then take it out of the pan and begin cutting the steak into small strips on separate plate. When cutting the steak you want to slice against the grain, so the steak stays tender.

6. Toss the cooked stir fry veggies into the pan you cooked the steak in and add the sliced steak back into the pan over a low to medium heat and mix.

7. Add your favorite teriyaki sauce or Braggs liquid aminos to your veggies and steak, continue to mix. Cook for about 3-7mins or until steak is cooked to your preferred temperature which in my case is a nice pink medium color.

8. While the steak and veggies are cooking together, I'll put my 90 second rice in the microwave to cook (pictured below is Basmati Rice)

9. Plate your food because presentation is key!

10. ENJOY!
