How to Cardio? Machines To Try Out That Are Not a Treadmill

It's your first time stepping into the gym, and you see all the cardio machines. You think about which cardio machine to use? In today's blog I share three cardio machines that are beneficial for various reasons and that I like to use.

1. Row Machine- The row machine is great for the cardiovascular system and the full body. When using the row machine you are engaging your upper body and lower body at the same time. A great benefit of using the row machine is that you can be on the rower for 5 or even 10 minutes and it will already get your heart rate up.

2. Stationary bike- The seated stationary bike is great for people who are just starting cardio for the first time. The seated bike is also low impact on the joints which is great for elderly people who may have joint issues.

3. Stairmaster- The stairmaster is great for cardio, but also strengthening the legs (glutes, quads, calves, etc.). This machine is great for people who need to build their cardiovascular endurance, because it simulates as if you were walking upstairs or even hiking up a mountain. This machine can help prepare you for daily life activities.

These are just a few of my favorite machines that are beneficial for the cardiovascular system that are different than running on a treadmill. Remember to always consult a physician before engaging in physical activity and it is beneficial to monitor your heart rate when exercising. Thanks for reading today's blog!
