Sweet Treat Recipe: 4 Ingredients for a Simple Cookie

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while since I last created a blog post! Today I wanted to tell you how I made a delicious cookie that has no dairy or gluten in it. Let's get started!

Ingredients:

-Old Fashioned Oats or Quick Oats (I used Old Fashioned Oats cause that's what I had in the pantry)

-Bananas (I used 4 organic bananas they were small, but you could use 2 or 3 regular sized bananas depending on how much you want to make)

-Peanut butter (Yummm my favorite!)

-Dark Chocolate Chunks or Chips (I used 72% cacao dark chocolate chunks if that's too bitter you can use a different type of chocolate. The dark chocolate I used has antioxidants in it, so it's somewhat healthier than regular milk chocolate chips.)

Optional: Cooking Spray for the baking sheet, so it doesn't stick.

The Recipe:

Step 1: Get a bowl and peel your bananas into the bowl. Next, mash the bananas with a fork till it looks like baby food I left some small chunks of banana for a good consistency. This is what keeps the cookie together!

Step 2: Measure out 2 Tbsp of Peanut butter and gently mix it into the banana mash bowl.

Step 3: Measure out 1 cup of Old Fashioned Oats or Quick Oats and gently mix into the peanut butter banana mash.

Step 4: Once mixed let the bowl sit on the counter for 15 minutes assuming your home is a comfortable room temperature lol. This allows for the oats to soak into the peanut butter banana mash to form the "dough."

Step 5: Add 2/3 cup of dark chocolate chunks, or add however much chocolate you like lol.

Step 6: Get a flat baking sheet line it with foil and spray cooking spray, so the cookies don't stick.

Step 7: Begin forming cookie dough balls at a nice medium size. When I made this recipe I was able to form 8 cookies. Warning: The dough is sticky, so I would form one ball at a time and place it on the baking sheet.

Step 8: Flatten out the cookie dough balls to form a cookie shape, since it doesn't rise when you bake it in the oven.

Step 9: PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 10: Place the baking sheet in the oven for 12-15 minutes till the cookies become a nice golden brown. (I cooked my cookies for 12 minutes)

Step 11: Take cookies out of the oven and let it rest for 10-15mins. (I let it rest for 15 minutes)

Step 12: EAT AND ENJOY!!!!

Hope you all like this simple recipe and let me know if you try it! Tag me on your social media posts, so I can see your wonderful creations! I love to cook new things, so let me know if you have any requests on healthy meals or desserts by commenting below. Have a great day everyone!
